For more than 40 years, David has dedicated his career to enriching the lives of children and supporting families. As the owner and Director of Community OOSH Services since its inception, he has been the heart of the organisation, building a service that has become a trusted part of the local community.

With a background as a primary school teacher, specialist training in special education, and experience owning long day care centres, David brings a wealth of knowledge and a lifelong passion for helping children learn, grow and thrive. Throughout his career, he has remained committed to creating environments where children can simply be kids while developing confidence, resilience and lifelong skills.

A proud father of five and grandfather of ten, David is deeply family and community oriented. Whether he’s out and about in the local area or welcoming families into the service, he is well known for the genuine relationships he has built with generations of children and parents over the years.

David believes childhood should be filled with adventure, discovery and unforgettable memories. From climbing trees and building campfires to exploring the outdoors and learning practical life skills, he is passionate about giving children the kinds of experiences that shaped his own family. Around the service, he is equally well known as the undefeated Connect 4 champion, always ready to challenge children, families or educators to a friendly game.

Affectionately known by many of the children as the ‘OOSH God’, David’s enthusiasm, sense of fun and unwavering commitment to quality experiences have made him a much-loved figure within Community OOSH Services. More than four decades into his career, he remains as passionate as ever about creating meaningful childhood memories and supporting the families who make up the Community OOSH Services family.
